Haggin Oaks – MacKenzie - Stroke Play Tournament
Stroke-play is when players count each stroke, write down the total number of strokes taken on each hole, add all the holes together, and whoever has the lowest cumulative number is the winner. All players with an eligible USGA Handicap Index will have their course handicap deducted from their overall score equaling their NET score. All players will be split into separate flights depending on their skill level as indicated by their USGA Handicap. Players who do not have a handicap will compete with everyone in the Callaway flight which is comprised of the individual gross score for each player in the field. There will be Flight A, Flight B, Flight C, Ladies Flight, and a Callaway Flight as well. Winners will be awarded 1st-3rd place in each flight.
Haggin Oaks – Arcade – Team Play Tournament
Team play is when players are selected in 2-4 player groups. Usually, these groups are formed themselves. Singles can also sign up and they will be partnered with other players to form a 2-4 player team. All players tee off from the same spot every hole and select the most desirable shot to play from. Each player hits the following shot from that spot. They repeat this process until the hole is completed and record only one team score as their total score for each hole. Each team will also be assigned a SABGC ball that one different player on each hole will play from start to finish. If the team returns the SABGC ball at the end of the round, they will be eligible for a stroke reduction on their final score. Winners will be awarded 1st-3rd place.
